How to Register Other Attendees (Administrator vs. Group)

Are you paying the registration fee on behalf of an attendee but are not attending yourself (Administrator Registration)?

  • Click the "Register" button.
  • Enter the attendee's name, email address, and select their registration type.
  • Then, check the box to indicate that you are paying the fee on the attendee's behalf.
  • Follow the prompts as you continue through the process. You will have the option to add an attendee prior to completing the payment.
  • Repeat for each attendee to pay for all in one transaction.
  • Each attendee and the administrator will receive a confirmation email.

Are you paying for your own registration as well as for one or more additional attendee (Group Registration)? Do you need for each attendee's payment to be a separate transaction?

  • Click the "Register" button.
  • Enter yourself as the first attendee (Group Leader); enter name, email address, and select their registration type; do NOT check the box indicating that you are paying on behalf of the attendee.
  • Process your registration. On the Registration Summary page, click "Finished Adding People"; pay for your registration.
  • Once on the Confirmation Page, click on the Register Another button at the bottom of the page and repeat for each attendee.
  • Each attendee, including the Group leader, will receive a confirmation email. The Group leader will NOT receive copies of the group members' confirmation emails.

If you are paying the registration fee for yourself and other attendees, and you want to pay for all of the group's registration fees in one transaction, follow the steps for Group Registration, with the following changes:

  • When you get to the Registration Summary page, click on the "Add Attendee to Group" button.
  • Provide all of the information for the 2nd attendee's registration.
  • When you return to the Registration Summary page, if you are done adding attendees to your group, click "Finished Adding People" to complete and pay for the Group registration.

How to Use Two Forms of Payment for Your Registration

If your organization is paying for your registration fee, but they will not pay for the fee to participate in an optional event, purchase an extra t-shirt for a family member, or to sign up a companion to attend an activity, you have the ability to use two forms of payment. Here's how:

  • Register for the 16th IDS without selecting any activities or optional items, and without registering an adult or child companion.
  • Once you have paid for your registration, from the Confirmation page, click on the button to "Modify" your registration.
  • On the next screen, click on the link to modify your "Registration" (not "Information").
  • Now go through the list of activities and optional items and select those activities/items you are paying for with another payment method, and if applicable, sign your adult and/or child companion for those activities they're eligible to attend.
  • Proceed to the payment page, and pay the balance due with your 2nd form of payment.
  • You will have received two confirmation emails: one confirming the first part of your registration (the registration fee), and a 2nd email that shows your modified registration and your 2nd payment.

Payment by Check or Bank Transfer

The registration fee is determined by the date that BOTH registration AND payment are RECEIVED by the JHU WSE Energetics Research Group. If you are submitting your payment after you have completed and submitted your registration (for instance, via check or bank transfer), please keep this policy in mind to ensure that your payment is received by the JHU WSE Energetics Research Group prior to a fee increase. Payments for a discounted rate (i.e., BEST or EARLY) received after a fee increase has gone into effect will be assessed the higher rate.

  • The BEST Registration fee applies only to those registrations submitted AND paid (received) on or before June 10, 2018.

  • The EARLY Registration fee applies only to those registrations submitted AND paid (received) between June 11, 2018 and July 1, 2018.

  • Registrations AND payments submitted/received July 2, 2018 and after will be charged the Regular Registration fee.

When paying by check, checks will only be accepted in US Dollars from a US Bank.
