Program Description
At the statewide WCMEW Summit, attendees will develop an understanding of health workforce issues as interdisciplinary and time-sensitive in Wisconsin. Participants will forge connections across stakeholder groups, developing the ability to frame workforce challenges as opportunities for collaboration and creativity. Experts will present approaches to addressing projected health workforce issues including preparing health professionals for an evolving care system, leveraging community leadership, and formulating effective public policy.

WCMEW is a non-profit, multi-stakeholder organization whose purpose is to facilitate strategies to assure an adequate supply of health care providers to meet the needs of Wisconsin citizens today and in the future. 

WCMEW stakeholders include: the Medical College of Wisconsin, Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative, State of Wisconsin, UW School of Medicine and Public Health, Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians, Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants, Wisconsin Center for Nursing, Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Medical Society and the Wisconsin Nurses Association.
