The Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium was again a great success! More than 450 attendees were on present, as well as more than 65 investors. Click on the "Post-conference materials" tab above for more information.
The symposium helps entrepreneurs learn how to pursue private equity - and prepares them for regional and national venture conferences. Early stage companies from Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest were professionally "coached" by venture and service professionals, as well as veteran company executives with stories to tell. In addition to hands-on instruction, the symposium provided platforms for selected early stage companies that presented to investors, including the annual "Elevator Pitch Olympics."
Highlights include:
- Nationally known speakers - Rich Bendis, Innovation America and Rock Mackie, Morgridge Institute for Research
- 20 company presentations to angel and venture investors
- 18 Elevator Pitch Olympics presentations
- Investors-only seminar hosted by the Wisconsin Angel Network
- More than a dozen panel discussions
- “First Look” forum for university-based discoveries
- Receptions, lunches and other networking events
Mark your calendars for the 2012 Early Stage Symposium November 13-14 at the Monona Terrace and Convention Center!
