The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities’ (A۰P۰L۰U) Council on Outreach and Engagement (CEO) in association with The Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU) is having its annual Summer Meeting. The meeting is an excellent occasion for CEO member university presidents, chancellors, and other officials to meet with each other and with health, education, community, economic and government leaders. The theme this year is "Place-based Engagement: Defining the Future of Public Higher Education," where we will explore how universities use their placed-based engagement to build vibrant communities, strengthen student completion and success rates, and rebuild the public trust. The 2012 CEO meeting has a vibrant agenda and the committee is hard at work confirming an exciting set of speakers.
The meeting will be held in conjunction with the APLU Convocation: the Next 150 Years of the Morrill Act on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 (you must register separately for the Morrill Act Convocation--registration opens to the public on April 2).
We hope to see you and your team in DC in June.
