FTA Tobacco Section Chair Jerry Leonard, State of Oklahoma, the Connecticut Department of Revenue and Members of the FTA Board of Trustees extend a cordial invitation to attend the 2012 Annual Meeting of the FTA Tobacco Section.
The conference program consists of general session topics such as: Federal Updates, PACT ACT, FDA, RYO, Canadian Tobacco Stamp with more topics of interest to state tobacco tax administrators and industry.
The annual meeting provides a forum for states to share their Best Practices and to hear about the latest and greatest in improved processes, compliance innovations, and more. Ideas, networking, trends to embrace, pitfalls to avoid -- all are included in the conference fee.
The conference starts on Sunday morning, August 26 with the Uniformity Meeting from 9am to noon. The Uniformity Committee provides an opportunity for Government and Industry to partner for the efficient and effective reporting and remittance of tobacco taxes, to minimize tobacco tax evasion and to act as an information resource to stakeholders.
Registration for the conference will start at 1-6pm on August 26. The Regional Meet and Greet will be from 3-4pm, New Member Orientation 4-5 pm and the FTA Welcome Reception 6-9 pm.
