|Dear NEBB Professionals, Friends and Colleagues, |
We would like to invite you to join us for the 2013 NEBB Annual Conference – the first ever being held outside the U.S. but still in North America!
Montreal is the perfect location for NEBB as it’s a wonderful blend of French flavor while still being easy to access and very familiar with the U.S. visitor. It is a city with an abundance of charisma and flair, combining both old world and modern day sophistication. UNESCO named Montreal as a World Design City in 2006. This is due to the striking examples of colonial, modern, and contemporary architecture juxtaposed against the skyline - from the neo-classical to the futuristic.
Montreal boasts great restaurants, clubs, and attractions and the city's festivals are getting larger, bigger and more glamorous each year, attracting an amazing array of talent from across the globe.
The Hyatt Regency hotel is attached to Complexe Desjardins - a plaza which hosts an array of shopping opportunities, as well as numerous restaurants and casual food court dining. Additionally there are many other day-to-day conveniences easily accessible. This stylish luxury hotel offers direct underground access to the Palais des Congrès (Montreal Convention Centre), as well as Chinatown, Old Montréal, Place des Arts (Performing Arts Centre) and the Metro transport system.
The conference agenda features leading industry experts who would be addressing the conference theme Solutions to Optimize High Performance Buildings and provide solutions to problems facing the global HVAC industry. The conference will provide attendees insights into timely topics and technical updates as well as ample opportunity to network with NEBB specialists and peers. We will also have important representation from HVAC product and service providers and various industry and government agencies. This agenda will allow you to hear and meet many experts and will also give you a chance to actively participate with your peers. By the end of the conference, we know you will leave with an incredible cadre of ideas, tools and partners to assist you in your future growth.
For the attending spouses, we have an outstanding array of activities planned including a networking breakfast, a specially packaged tour of Montreal, and an interactive session designed for today’s women, spouses and business owners presented by Danielle Turcola, among others.
For the golf enthusiasts, the 16th Annual Golf Tournament is being held at the Club de Golf de L’ile de Montreal. We have this golf course on hold - this course offers the craftsmanship of the Irish architect Pat Ruddy. Golfers will enjoy being encircled by the surrounding national park’s splendor of shrubbery, water, flowers and mature treeline. Although a challenging course, the views are easy on the eyes. De L’ile De Montreal was recognized by Golf Illustrated in 2003 as being the second most beautiful public course in Quebec and it is ranked among the top 100 courses in the world.
We look forward to seeing you in Montreal!
Stan and Pascale Fleischer
