Vice President Environment & Sustainability

There are fundamental and directional changes occurring in the electric power system driven by social changes and technology innovations.  Understanding how we can successfully shape that future will rely on our ability to anticipate environmental issues, develop sustainable solutions and continue to improve public and worker safety.

And that's exactly the topics you will have an opportunity to engage during the Winter 2015 Environment Program Advisory meetings. These meetings are excellent opportunities get a deeper context of the issues by exchanging information and experience with your industry peers, and learn about EPRI's science and technology research results that can contribute to the success of your company.

The destiny of the future transformed power system to provide societal, environment and economic benefits rests in the ability of the electric industry to harness the power of innovation and together . . .shaping the future of electricity.  I hope that you will join us and be part ushering in that future.

Who should attend

Environment program funders, EPRI staff, speakers, and contractors.

Please note that attendance in program and supplemental project meetings is open only to program and project funders and select invitees respectively. If you are interested in attending a meeting in an area that you are not currently funding, please contact your account executive for further information. Attendees will be asked to leave meetings for which they are not current funders, or have received prior approval to attend.

The energy landscape is rapidly shifting as a result of the accelerated introduction of innovative technologies, new market participants and an increase in focus on environmental issues. The electricity sector must be at the forefront of these innovations and help shape this transformation in the way electricity is generated, delivered and used by society.   That's exactly what we plan to do at the Environment Sector Council - engage in sharing insights, innovation and information - to enable a successful transformation of the electricity sector. Don’t be left out – many of our member companies have embarked on refreshing their future strategic outlook . . .and the environmental outlook is front and center.

EPRI's Environment Council advises EPRI Management and staff on the technical content, and future direction of the Environment research portfolio. The Environment Council takes a cross-cutting look at EPRI's environmental research outcomes, identifies major new directions for future research, and advises the EPRI staff on a range of issues, including strategic planning, research priorities, and coordination among Environment programs. The Environment Council is comprised of 30-40 executives from member companies and meet twice a year following the Program Committee meetings during the same week and location.

Who should attend: EPRI Council Members, other members and EPRI staff are by Invitation Only, please.
