No Place for Hate® is an initiative of the Anti-Defamation League, offered to schools in Colorado and Wyoming.

The initiative is designed to rally an entire school around the goal of creating a welcoming community committed to stopping all forms of bias and bullying. No Place For Hate® provides a unique framework to incorporate new and existing programs with one consistent message. No Place For Hate® can help your school foster a culture of respect and create a safe, bully-free learning environment for students at all grade levels.

No Place for Hate® is embraced by public, private and parochial schools across the country, because bullying and bias are an unhappy reality in most schools today and pose a threat to the safe learning environment school officials know is essential for students to succeed. The Initiative has the added benefit of preparing young people to live and work successfully in our pluralistic nation and global community.

The Mountain States Region started the No Place for Hate Initiative during the 2007-2008 school year and since then over 100 schools and over 350,000 students in Colorado and Wyoming have committed to creating schools that are No Place for Hate.

In 2015-2016,  45 schools earned their No Place for Hate designation, and our feedback has been uniformly very positive. Schools are noticing a real impact on their school climate.  The schools that benefit most from this program make it visible and incorporate its message of respect into the fabric of daily school life and school culture. No Place for Hate® becomes, as one teacher describes, “The way we do things here.”

Thanks to all our great No Place for Hate Coalitions!
