The days are getting shorter and cooler, and that can mean only one thing - it's almost time for the 2016 DAC/ODAA Annual Fall Conference is fast approaching!

The Fall Conference will be held at the beautiful Aloft Hotel in Bricktown in Oklahoma City.  This year the dates are November 2 - 4.  The first day will be devoted to the District Attorneys Council meeting and the ODAA Board of Directors meeting.  Join us that evening for a social hour visit at Fassler Hall, a German inspired beer hall, located in Oklahoma City's Midtown neighborhood. Join us for homemade sausage, duck fat fries and a good German beer. You can enjoy your food and drink inside, or you can wander outside to Fassler's expansive beer garden, which has stunning views of the downtown skyline.

Conference registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3,  and concludes Friday afternoon.  This year's conference will focus Thursday on child victim issues presented by internationally known presenter Robert Farley.  Mr. Farley is a 30-year veteran (retired) of the Cook County Sheriff's Police and former Commanding Officer of the Child Exploitation Unit.  Detective Farley has over 28 years experience conducting and supervising all aspects of child abuse investigation - from sexual abuse cases to child homicides.

Friday will include ethics training by Kristine Hamann, Executive Director of the Prosecutors’ Center for Excellence, victim rights training by District 19 District Attorney Emily Redman, an ethics presentation on what you can and (more importantly) cannot say to the press, and much, much more.
