Mid-Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar is a
three-and-a-half-day program designed for women holding medical school
appointments at the associate professor level, and holding leadership
positions within their discipline, department or institution. Assistant
professors and full professors may be considered based on experience.
This year’s seminar will take place at the AT&T Executive Education
Conference Center in Austin, TX. The program goal is to enhance
knowledge and skills needed to support progress along the path to
leadership in academic medicine.
seminar covers leadership topics and skills specifically related to the
mid-career faculty member such as conflict management, resilience and
wellness, interpersonal communication, and finances, which are central
to effective collaboration and leadership in various mission-critical
activities. Participants will benefit from a combination of general
group sessions and self-selected topical breakout sessions to tailor the
seminar to specific needs and interests.
