Question: When and where is the Annual Michigan Credit Union System Charity Golf Outing to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals: Credit Unions for Kids?
Answer: Mark the calendar for Wednesday, June 7 for the 2017 Golf Outing being held at the Thousands Oak Golf Course in Grand Rapids. Shotgun starts will take place at 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In the event the course cancels golf due to the weather, rain checks will be issued in part if less than 10 holes of play have occurred or the course in determine unplayable; 10 or more holes will be considered a finished tournament for the golf portion of the event.
Question: How can we donate to the Auction for Advocacy?
Answer: Any credit union, business or person is welcome to donate items to either the silent auction or live auction being held at the AC&E. Sporting event tickets, hotel packages, vacation getaways, electronics and other items are needed. Question: Do you recommend bringing a lap top computer to the hotel?
Answer: If you hate the thought of lugging your laptop computer with you, don't! The Internet Kiosk will be available to conventioneers during open registration hours. Send and check e-mail or surf the Internet free of charge.
Question: Do you recommend bringing a tablet or smart phone to the conference?
Answer: Yes! This is a great way to check out the official AC&E app and website or to place an online bid for the silent auction. This year event handouts will be available electronically and the new SCANTrivia event will add a lot of excitement to the conference and expo hall. Plus, a mobile device is a great way to connect with other conference go-ers via Twitter using the hashtag #mculace. Worried about running low on power? No problem! Secure mobile charging stations will be available in convenient locations.
Question: Who should I contact about a special need?
Answer: We want every participant to enjoy their time at the AC&E. If anyone attending the AC&E has a special need, including dietary restrictions, please notify Janet Ormsby in advance at (800) 262-6285, ext. 235 or by email janet.ormsby@mcul.org.

Question: How convenient is parking?
Answer: Valet parking is offered at the front door of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and self-parking is available at a parking garage adjacent to the facility.
Question: Where do I go once I get there?
Answer: There is plenty of signage that makes it easy to navigate the conference. Convention registration and general information assistance will be located at the Center Concourse, on the second level of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Pre-registered attendees will find their name badges, tickets and AC&E materials waiting. Additional tickets for all program events (with availability) may also be purchased at this location.
Question: What is the Attendee Lounge?
Answer: The Attendee Lounge is located on the West Concourse on the second level of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.  Here you will find light refreshments and comfortable seating during designated times throughout the convention. It is a great place to meet up with friends or take some time out for yourself.
Question: What is the proper attire for this event?
Answer: Business casual is recommended and participants are encouraged to dress in layers to adjust to varying room temperatures. Slacks or Docker-style shorts and polo-style shirts are examples of appropriate attire. Comfortable shoes are also a must, as the venue provides for a lot of walking exercise.
Question: Is there a charge to attend the Annual Membership Meeting and Leadership Summit?
Answer: The Membership Meeting and Leadership Summit is open to all registered convention attendees with an appropriate badge. There is no charge to register for the membership meeting only, however advanced registration is necessary.
Question: What is the smoking policy?
Answer: Attendees are reminded that the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and DeVos Place is entirely a smoke-free facility.
Question: If I win an auction item, how do I pay and take possession of it?
Answer: If you are the high bidder on an item at the Charity Auction, be sure to pick up items on Friday, June 9 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. or on Saturday, June 10 at the Registration Desk in the Center Concourse from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Payment may be made online with VISA/MasterCard or in person with personal checks.
Question: At what time can I check-in/out of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel?
Answer: Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. (ET) and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
