Dave is the CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League and president/CEO of CU Solutions Group. He has held numerous board seats with companies like Magic Line, Inc. and NYCE Corporation, both regional ATM companies, and has served on both former Governor Jennifer Granholm’s Council of Economic Advisors, as well as current Governor Rick Snyder's Council of Labor and Economic Growth. He previously served as president and CEO of the Washington Credit Union League and LSI, Inc. A native of Utah, he holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah and a master's in business administration from Utah State University.

Patrick is the president of St. Louis Community Credit Union and he loves to have fun. To him, credit unions long ago stopped being a vocation and became an avocation. He provokes thought and makes others think extra hard about those issues that should be on a credit union’s radar screen. Patrick has devoted 33 years to the credit union movement and has worked for St. Louis Community Credit Union for the past 24 years.
Justin Bamford
Justin has served for nearly two years as vice president of lending at Family Financial Credit Union in Muskegon. With nearly 12 years in the credit union business, 15 years in the financial services industry, a sales background and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, he brings a unique perspective to developing member relationships. Admitting a rare passion for political advocacy and fundraising, he enjoys participating in MOON chapter committees and attending Hike the Hill, GAC and other league functions.
Amanda Basel
Amanda is the deposit operations manager at Christian Financial Credit Union where her favorite thing is directly helping members save by developing new deposit products. She earned a CUDE designation from the National Credit Union Foundation in 2006, and since then she has made it her mission to educate people on the credit union operating principles. She possesses a degree in finance from Michigan State University and has obtained Series 7 and 63 security licenses.
Bryan Begola
Bryan is vice president of sales at Salus Group. He is at the forefront of the consumer driven healthcare movement, focusing on medium-to-large sized credit unions to reinvent/revise their group health strategies. Bryan invests time and energy educating his clients and their employees on, Healthcare Reform, consumer driven health plans, defined contribution plans, cost containment/budgeting solutions and improved enrollment efficiencies. He joined Salus Group in 2008 and received a degree in architecture from Yale University in New Haven, CT.
Katie Berry
Katie has spent over 14 years as a human resources professional and was recently named vice president of human resources for Honor Credit Union. Her experience spans many areas, including performance management, compensation, benefits and payroll. She received a bachelor's of science degree in business administration in human resource management from Central Michigan University. She was named the MCUL Young Professional of the Year in 2016 and has advanced certifications including SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Korn Ferry Leadership Architect, Interview Architect and KFALP (Assessment of Leadership Potential).
Tim Bohlman
Tim is president/COO of LifeStep Solutions and senior vice president of Technology and Marketing Solutions for CU Solutions Group. He oversees the reinvention of the Love My Credit Union program and Marketing Solutions through Focus IQ. He is responsible for web development and implementing new software, as well as for Internet technologies, including Intranet and websites for MCUL/CU Solutions Group and numerous credit unions. Tim received his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Oakland University in 1995.

Lance is an attorney at Dykema where he focuses on tribal and commercial gaming, and on Indian law; he is also a leader of the firm's emerging Cannabis Law practice. He represents tribes and non-tribal businesses, as well as state and local governments. He served as deputy legal counsel to former Michigan Governor John Engler and was responsible for the state’s relations with tribal governments.

John Buckley
John is the president and CEO of Gerber Federal Credit Union located in Fremont, Michigan and is currently serving as chairman of the Michigan Credit Union League. He was a commercial lender and community bank president for 22 years before joining Gerber in 2006. He has a bachelor's of arts in economics from the University of Notre Dame and an master's in business administration in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He possesses certificates from the University of Wisconsin's graduate school of banking in Madison and from their school of continuing education in Milwaukee in labor relations management.

Keith is the vice president of information & strategic growth for Alliance Catholic Credit Union. In that role Keith oversees marketing, communications, business development and technology solutions with a focus on leveraging innovation, engaging external audiences and empowering internal teams to advance the credit union’s strategic initiatives. Keith joined Alliance Catholic in May of 2016. He possesses an accounting degree from UM-Dearborn and a master's of business administration from the University of Michigan.
Brian Calley
Serving as Michigan Lieutenant Governor, Brian has guided two historic tax reforms through the legislature that have opened new doors of economic opportunity and private sector job growth. He also worked to create citizen and business friendly state government services by leading an initiative to improve efficiencies and eliminate outdated regulations. He has served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives and has had a career in community banking. He holds degrees from Michigan State, GVSU and Harvard.
Lisa Carver
Lisa is the president of Moxie Consulting, Inc. a human resources consulting firm located in Little Rock, AR. Lisa has designed and facilitated employee development and management/leadership training since 1988. She has a broad range of employee development experience and has worked with all levels of employees, volunteers and elected officials. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central AR and earned her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University. She also completed a year of law school at the UALR Bowen School of Law and has taught classes at Pulaski Technical College, ITT Tech and the University of Phoenix. She is a certified Franklin Covey and Achieve Global facilitator.
Michael Cochrum
Michael is the executive lending advisor at CU Direct, a credit union owned company founded in 1994. He has made a career in consumer finance that spans almost three decades. Michael has worked for several banks and credit unions and has an extensive and broad lending background in underwriting, collections and asset recovery, as well as program management.
Chad Coffman
Chad is the project lead for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority’s (MSHDA) Hardest Hit Fund program, Step Forward Michigan, where he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the U.S. Department of Treasury’s fund allocation in Michigan. He possesses a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and has been involved with project management, default mortgage servicing, foreclosure prevention, legal compliance and property management for 19 years. He is a graduate of MSHDA’s Leadership Academy.

He is a highly respected executive on new payment technologies and innovations. Drew Egan
Drew is the COO/CFO of CU Solutions Group, a credit union CUSO which serves 3,600 credit unions and their 80 million members in 48 states. He also serves on the executive management team of the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. He was previously the executive vice president/COO of the Utah League of Credit Unions. Drew holds a master's of business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's of arts in finance from the University of Utah.
Tiffany Fisher
Tiffany is the training & development manager at KALSEE Credit Union where she is responsible for managing the contact center. She began working as a teller at the age of 18 at Michigan Community Credit Union in Jackson, which launched her career. She eventually relocated to Southwestern Michigan to work at Honor Credit Union. Tiffany is dedicated to developing a service and solution culture at KALSEE where she onboards new employees, develops training programs and spreads her passion for the credit union philosophy in all she does.

Dan Giedeman, PhD
Dan is a professor of economics at Grand Valley State University's Seidman College of Business. He received his Ph.D. from Washington University in Saint Louis, as a bachelor's of arts in economics and history and a master's of science in economics from Southern Illinois University -- Carbondale. His research and teaching interests include banking regulation and how banking may have influenced economic development, the determinants of long-run economic growth and economic history. Dan is a member of several economic organizations including the American Economic Association.
Russell Gerrard
Russell is the vice president of Operations in CU Solutions Group's Performance Solutions division and has been with the organization since 2005. He oversees the consulting, sales and account management functions related to the industry-leading products, Performance Pro and Compease. Russell has undergraduate degrees in communication and political science and a master’s degree in conflict analysis and resolution. He is a master mediator and has PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.
Meghan Higbie
Meghan enjoys "all things creative" and has a background in photography, painting and creative lettering. Based in Lansing, Michigan, she is a graduate of Central Michigan University, possessing a degree in elementary education. She enjoys exploring the great state of Michigan, taking adventures and working with others to inspire creativity with craft projects.
Holly Hoffman
Holly is a professional motivational speaker and the author of Your Winner Within. She was the last remaining member of the Espada Tribe and the last woman standing on Season 21 of CBS’ hit reality show “Survivor Nicaragua”. Through that experience, and others throughout her life, Holly was inspired to share her positive message of determination and confidence with business leaders, teachers and students across the nation. She is from Eureka, South Dakota and attended Northern State University.
Bill Huizenga
Bill is Michigan's U.S. Representative for the 2nd district, which stretches from Kentwood to the lake shore and up the coast of Lake Michigan from Holland to Ludington. Bill was first elected to Congress in 2010 and serves on the prestigious House Financial Services Committee and is chairman of the Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Calvin College. He is co-owner of Huizenga Gravel Inc., in Jenison.
Jim Kasch
Jim is principal at Canidae, LLC, a credit union consulting firm that specializes in member intelligence, strategic plans, Millennial growth strategies, virtual delivery, member engagement and sales training. He was the founding CEO for Darden Employees Federal Credit Union, chartered to serve employees of Darden Restaurants, Inc. He holds a master's of business adminstration from Stetson University in Florida.
Elizabeth Khalil
Elizabeth is a partner in Dykema's Government Policy Practice Group and Financial Industry Group. Based in Chicago and Washington, DC, she focuses her practice on all aspects of financial institution regulation and advising on compliance matters. Elizabeth has spent most of her career as a federal banking regulator in Washington, DC, first at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and then at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). She also served as a senior associate at Hogan Lovells in DC.

She now specializes in services for young adults, engaging members through various social medias and managing five student-run credit union branches. She is co-leader of CRASH MI and involved with many community and state organizations. She possesses a bachelor's of arts from Saginaw Valley State University, where she majored in communication.
Mark Lynch
Mark is the senior program manager at the National Credit Union Foundation. He has been a credit union member for 39 years and a credit union board director for 22 years. Prior to moving to the US from Australia, he was the deputy chairman of the Australian National Credit Union, then Australia's largest credit union and the volunteer and resources manager with the Australian Credit Union Foundation. He also served on the boards of two other cooperatives and the academic council of a business college.
Isaac Mallory
Isaac is the manager of Sales & Business Development at HR Performance Solutions. He has a degree in economics from the University of Michigan and is pursuing his master’s in business administration at Indiana University. Isaac is has worked with hundreds of credit unions across the country to improve their performance management and compensation needs.
Patrick McPharlin
Patrick is the director of the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). Prior to his appointment, he served as the president and CEO of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. He has received many awards including being named State of Michigan and National CEO of the Year, has been inducted into the Michigan Credit Union League Hall of Fame and is a Michigan State University Distinguished Alumni. In addition to a bachelor's of science from MSU, Patrick possesses a master's of science in management from Aquinas College.

Jeff manages the largest single account at Sprint, CU Solutions Group, and focuses on bringing significant value to credit union leagues, credit unions, business and individual credit union members.
Jim Nussle
Jim is president and CEO of the Credit Union National Association. He previously served on President Bush's cabinet as the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget. A native Iowan, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1991-2007. Prior to his CUNA position, Jim served on the founding board of Growth Energy as president and CEO, a trade association of renewable energy companies and industry partners. He received a degree in political science from Luther College and a law degree from Drake University.
Melissa Osborn
Melissa is a regulatory and legislative affairs specialist for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. She has been assisting credit unions within the Government Affairs department for over five years. Melissa received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
Ken Otsuka
Ken is a senior consultant in Business Protection Risk Management for CUNA Mutual Group. In this role he assists credit unions in identifying areas of risk in their operations and recommends appropriate loss controls to reduce loss exposure. Ken joined Risk Management in 1990 after spending eight years as an auditor with another insurance company. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He also possesses certified public accountant credentials.

She is responsible for organizational development, employee relations, recruiting, on-boarding, succession planning and retention of top talent. With extensive background in information technology and human resources, she possesses a passion for people and a background that centers around leveraging technology solutions for more efficient management. Working with both large international companies, as well as small startup organizations, she has gained a unique perspective regarding the use of technology to recruit, retain, manage and engage employees. She earned her PHR certification and studied human resources management at Excelsior College.
Jay Peters
Jay is a credit union advocate and an IT admin at Vibe Credit Union. He has worked for several years consulting, administering and streamlining technology operations for credit unions and small businesses in Michigan and Ohio. Since 2011, Jay has also been a speaker and leader of the Crash Michigan program and a community member of The Cooperative Trust, working on career development and networking opportunities for young professionals in the credit union industry. He attended West Virginia University and served as a reservist in the United States Marine Corps.

For the past four years Paula has served as the vice president of marketing at FreeStar Financial Credit Union, where her goal is to "Take Your Dreams Higher!" Prior to coming to the credit union world, she served for 10 years as the assistant director of school and community relations for a Macomb County school district. Her passion is learning new information to better her marketing and public relations skills and to help move the credit union forward to ultimately help more members.
Ken Ross
Ken is the president/COO for MCUL & Affiliates. He has extensive experience working in the political and regulatory arenas at the state and national level with an emphasis on the financial service sector. He is a graduate of the U of M--Dearborn and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He previously was appointed and served as the commissioner of the Office of Financial Regulation.
Tory Schiller
Tory is a performance management and compensation solutions specialist with CU Solutions Group. She engages credit union HR professionals in assessments of their performance management and salary administration practices. She is a subject matter expert in these areas of HR operations and is adept at configuring Performance Pro and Compease to meeting credit union need. Tory has a bachelor's of science degree in interdisciplinary studies in social science.
Dan Schulman
Dan is president and CEO of PayPal and previously spearheaded growth and innovation at some of the world's largest companies, including Priceline, AT&T, Virgin Mobile and American Express. As the founding CEO of Virgin Mobile, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young and one of the hundred most creative people in the business by Fast Company. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master's of business from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Veronika Scott
Veronika is founder and CEO of The Empowerment Plan, and the youngest recipient of the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award from the JFK Library Foundation and Harvard University. She has received an IDEA Gold Award from the Industrial Design Society of America and has an honorary Ph.D. of Humane Letters from Johnson State College. Veronika has been named one of CNN’s Ten Visionary Women in the World and is the winner of the 2014 DVF People’s Voice Award. She has also been named a 2015 Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur. He previously spent 10 years at the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), in the Center for Professional Development as director of volunteer education. Sarah is the director of Regulatory Affairs for the Michigan Credit Union League. She is responsible for reviewing proposed regulations and assessing their impact on credit unions while advocating for change at the state and federal level. Sarah has 11 years of experience in the financial industry with the majority of time spent in the credit union compliance sector. She is a CUNA certified credit union compliance expert and certified Bank Secrecy Act compliance specialist. She received a bachelor's of fine arts from Adrian College and a master’s of science in business administration from Spring Arbor University.

She is a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC).

She is a certified in credit union compliance, vendor program management and the Bank Secrecy Act, and is a trained Six Sigma Champion. Amy provides compliance consulting services to credit unions throughout Michigan.

Marty has been working in the auction industry since 1978 and has conducted nearly 2,000 industrial, commercial, farm and estate auctions, as well as "called" over 1,100 fundraising auctions for a multitude of institutions and organizations throughout the state. He possesses a bachelor's of arts in marketing & finance from Central Michigan University. He is based east of Freeland, MI on a cash crop farm where he was also raised.
