This two-day seminar offers topics relevant to beginning practitioners as well as experienced advisors who work in the area of estate planning and administration. As usual, the program contains sessions on recent developments in Louisiana and federal law, professionalism, and ethics. Other topics include: representing executors in tax and estate claims; common life insurance planning mistakes; testamentary capacity and undue influence; special planning concerns for older clients and medicaid long-term care planning.

Approval granted by the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Louisiana Supreme Court for a maximum of 12.5 hours credit, including 1.0 hour(s) of ethics, 1.0 hour(s) of professionalism, and 0.0 hour(s) of law office practice.

Additionally, approval granted for 12.5 hours of specialization credit in Tax and Estate Planning. Thus, if you attend the entire course, you will receive 12.5 hours of Tax specialization credits and 12.5 hours of Estate Planning specialization credits.
