Crain's Leadership Academy is a nomination-based program now accepting applicants through Friday, February 3, 2017 for the spring, C1 cohort. The nomination form can be found HERE. Once accepted, the candidate will receive a congratulatory email with a candidate form to complete and registration information. Registration can only be completed by accepted nominees.
This multi-session leadership development experience draws CEO-nominated rising leaders into a cohort model to endeavor on Personal Discovery (StrengthsFinder® and DiSC® assessments), Civic Discovery (i.e. “field trips” to different cultural and civic institutions), and hear from leading figures in your city (e.g. elected officials, business leaders, thought leaders). In five sessions over three months, members of the cohort discover cross-sector perspectives and create bonds with other professionals throughout the metro area.
Promoting leaders from within your organization is smart – some research suggests that leaders promoted from within a company have higher productivity gains than outside recruits. They know the culture – and they know the people within the organization, a critical asset when the success of a project spans multiple departments or divisions.

Professionals with a minimum of 7 years business experience, and/or manage a team, and who are on the fast track for increased responsibility at any level of an organization. The class participants will represent a wide variety of industries as well as the non-profit and government sectors.
