WHO SHOULD ATTEND Emergency physicians, hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health-care professionals involved in the care of the acutely crashing, critically ill patient. 

OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

Utilize strategies in resuscitation to optimize outcome in critically ill patients.

Develop early critical care skills, such as airway rescue, chest tube thoracostomy, fiberoptics and ventilator management.

Apply principals of goal directed critical care management to acutely crashing trauma, cardiac, neurologic and septic patients.
