During previous DaSH events, participants helped finalize specifications for MIRING, worked on tools implementing it (e.g., HML 1.0), and considered ways how to express novel polymorphisms without human curation (e.g., Gene Feature Enumeration).
In this DaSH conference, implementers will spend time focused on the analysis of full-gene HLA and KIR expanding on feature-service "ecosystem" and assignment of GFE names for whole-gene HLA and KIR sequences; analysis tools for haplotype analysis and pedigree analysis using GFE-encoded alleles; translation, validation and processing of Workshop XML, HML, MIRING and HL7-FHIR message formats; and automated feature extraction.
The conference will start with an informal evening get together on Sunday, March 26. Work will start at 8:00 am on Monday, March 27 and the conference will finish about 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
