The Commission will hold a one-day online seminar for membership and labor organizations and their political action committees (PACs) on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Commission staff will conduct several technical workshops on the federal campaign finance laws affecting these organizations and their PACs. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as for those more experienced in campaign finance law.
Attendees can choose one of two options for the morning session, Basics and Best Practices or Recent Developments in the Law. The afternoon will feature a two-part workshop on Member/Labor PAC Operations. Participants will be able to download electronic copies of the workshop materials in advance, and will receive additional instructions and technical information shortly before the event. Webinar Information - Workshops will be broadcast online to all attendees, who will see workshop slides, hear the presentations and be able to ask questions via live chat. Additional instructions and technical information will be provided to those who register for the webinar.
Workshop Materials - Participants will be able to download electronic copies of the workshop materials in advance.
Registration Information - The cost to attend the webinar is $80. Registrants can choose one of two options for the morning session, Basics & Best Practices or Recent Developments in the Law. There is also an afternoon session featuring a two-part Membership and Labor Operations workshop included with your registration. Refunds (minus a $20 transaction fee) will be made for all cancellations received by Friday, March 24th; no refund will be made for cancellations received after that date.
