The 2017 Kansas 4-H Ambassador Training will be February 24-25 at the Rock Springs 4-H Center. The training is geared for all county/district 4-H Ambassadors, ambassador advisors and Extension staff. However, the ambassador training is open to any 4-H member in the 8th – 12 grades. The theme is: “Ambassadors – Growing 4-H.” Exciting workshops include: True Colors, Growing 4-H Leadership, Growing 4-H through Radio, Using Day Camps to Grow 4-H, Effective Use of Social Media, and Buckeye Initiatives. We’ll also have special workshops for all county/district advisors and Extension staff. Mr. Ben Hopper will talk on “Leadership Lessons from Hollywood Films.” Amy Sollock, SW Area 4-H Specialist and Megan Macy, KSRE Marketing Specialist will facilitate a workshop on “Building Your Own Local Marketing Plan by Counties/Districts.” Cost remains the same at $109.00, and registration closes on February 9, 2017, 11:59 p.m. The fee covers all educational sessions, speakers, breakfast, lunch, breaks, and one night’s lodging at Rock Springs 4-H Center. Workshop numbers are capped, so don’t delay in registering. Local Extension offices may not be able to provide chaperones and/or transportation to this training. Check with your local Extension Office before registering.
