During the National Awards Breakfast, the organization recognizes individual sisters, chapters and areas for their hard work and contribution to the the advancement of the sorority.
The Principles Award is presented to a sister who exemplifies the sorority’s principles of Unity, Love and Respect in her everyday life. Any active sister is eligible for the award.
Lourdes Cortes Scholarship for Academic Excellence
The Lourdes Cortes Scholarship for Academic Excellence is awarded to an active undergraduate sister with the highest GPA based on official transcripts. It is a $500 scholarship awarded solely on the basis of academic excellence.
These awards are given to sisters who exemplify the sorority’s principles in everyday life, serve their communities and strive to fulfill their lifetime commitment. The individual awards are as follows:
These awards are given to chapters who have shown exceptional event planning, community and social services efforts, as well as, sisterhood throughout the past academic year. Chapters may apply for the following categories:
This award is for an Area who has shown exceptional event planning, community and social services efforts, as well as, sisterhood collectively with all its supervising chapters throughout the past academic year.
Outstanding Service to St. Jude
The Service to St. Jude Award is given to the Chapter or Area that made efforts and excelled in providing awareness and fundraising efforts to our national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The application can be for one specific St. Jude event or several combined events. A complete packet for the Outstanding Service to St. Jude Award should include a letter of appreciation from a local St. Jude representative and photo of the chapter or chapter event.
