The Manufacturing Problem Prevention Program (MP3) has proven to be a valuable resource for both the Air Force and its contractors. MP3 has proven its value as a way for the Air Force and its industry partners to generate and distribute information intended to minimize schedule and cost impacts due to unanticipated problems or anomalies.  Updates and changes within the materials community that facilitate participation in Air Force space programs will also be discussed.

The theme of the meeting this year is Quality Strategies for Additive Manufacturing. The meeting will highlight recent progress and lessons learned in the areas of materials for space structures, with an emphasis on assuring quality of materials made by additive manufacturing (AM), otherwise known as 3-D printing.

A new feature has been added to the meeting this year. After the formal presentations, Dr. James Nokes, Principal Director of the Aerospace Space Materials Laboratory, will summarize and lead a discussion of the strategies presented.
