2017 NERRS/NERRA Annual Meeting

The 2017 NERRS/NERRA Annual Meeting is on!

Despite the devastation to their community, the reserve, and even their homes - our Mission-Aransas team still plan to welcome colleagues from around the country to Texas in November.  How you can help the Mission-Aransas Reserve can be found on the update page.

Meeting Purpose

The purpose of this meeting is to develop budgets, program strategies, and long- and short-term plans for the National Estuarine Research Reserve System. The meeting brings together all program sectors—management, research, education, training, stewardship and representatives from the NERRS Friends and Foundations—to provide relevant, targeted information and training.

This is a working and decision-making gathering of interdisciplinary colleagues within the reserve system—all guided by similar mandates and funding sources. The 2017 Annual Meeting is the primary planning meeting for the year, so attendance by core staff members is a grant requirement within the NOAA operations award, which supports reserve program planning and implementation.

Note: Sunday trainings and Friday sessions will be optional.
