The 2017 Nevada Health Conference, hosted by Immunize Nevada, brings together regional and national experts on one platform to educate and empower Nevada’s healthcare professionals – ultimately creating healthier communities throughout the Silver State. The “People. Purpose. Passion: The Roadway to a Healthier Nevada” conference theme offers innovative and timely health-related topics for our changing healthcare environment.

The annual conference begins Monday, November 13 with keynote speaker, Dara Lieberman, MPP, Senior Government Relations Manager at Trust for America’s Health. The conference then immediately breaks out into concurrent workshops featuring local and national field experts presenting on panel-approved health topics related to the conference theme.

Day two of the conference, offers four intensive general session tracks focusing on niche areas of interest including: Immunization 101/201 – A Focus on Adolescent Vaccines; Insurance Billing & Coding; Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health; and Coalition Building. Conference exhibits from informative partners like you are available to conference-goers throughout both days during breakfast, breaks, lunch, and a networking reception.

Goals of the 2017 conference:

  • Ensure attendees leave the conference with practical, cutting edge information that applies directly to their specific work environment.
  • Strengthen healthcare professional knowledge and professional growth.
  • Offer workshop topics that provide pertinent information based on current trends and issues, best practices and helpful tools.
  • Provide the opportunity and environment for professional networking and relationship building.

The conference reaches a number of healthcare professionals including, but not limited to: Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, health science students, medical assistants, public health staff, social workers, epidemiologists, health educators, program managers, child care professionals, and other persons who administer child and adult healthcare services.

Based on past Nevada Health Conferences and estimated national participation, conference planners anticipate the attendees to reflect the following:

  • 35% of the audience estimated to be public health and immunization coalitions from outside of Nevada
