a member of the U.S. potato industry, many issues – such as the cost of
fuel and other inputs and the weather – are out of our hands. However,
at the NPC Annual Meeting, growers and industry leaders have an
opportunity to impact the laws and regulations coming out of Washington,
D.C., by banding together and creating unified industry positions on
vital public policy issues.
The NPC Annual Meeting is open to
all U.S. growers and industry members who wish to take part in the
potato industry’s most pressing federal policy debates on issues such
• Ensuring fair market access to foreign markets for potatoes and potato products;
• Maintaining access to pest management tools and advanced production technologies;
• Promoting potatoes in federal nutrition programs; and,
• Securing funding for potato breeding, pest management, and disease research.
The strength of the National Potato Council comes from growers and
industry partners who are willing to make their voices heard. Don’t miss
out on your chance to join us for two days of debate, planning, and
camaraderie at NPC’s 2017 Annual Meeting.
