CHRIMS

CHRIMS

CHRIMS is a not for profit, mutual benefits organization focused on providing technology solutions for the pari-mutuel gaming industry. We specialize in accounting applications and pari-mutuel settlement outsourcing, and also provide solutions for managing customer loyalty programs, including facility admissions and patron wager tracking.

What separates CHRIMS from our competitors is that we do not just provide you with software, but we also provide you with a team of highly trained and experienced personnel to load, process, and manage your data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! CHRIMS also provides customized reports and consulting services to assist you with analyzing trends, budgets, projections and more.

At CHRIMS, we're focused on providing our customers with 'total solutions' for pari-mutuel accounting and settlement services. Our approach is to leverage the software and systems we've developed to help streamline the hours needed to manage the AR/AP side of host and simulcast accounting.

Our service bureau employees are well-versed in the jurisdictional rules and regulations governing pari-mutuel revenue and expenses for live and simulcast racing operations.

We have invested heavily in the technology needed to interface with all of the major totalisator providers and Advance Deposit Wagering (ADW) systems. We've archived decades of past tote data to provide a robust environment for reporting and analysis.

Given the enormous amounts of money that circulate throughout the pari-mutuel industry, we take our commitments to financial security and compliance extremely seriously. To that end, CHRIMS undergoes annual SOC I and SOC II audits. We also work regularly with race tracks, ADW companies, and the banking industry to help maintain anti-money laundering standards, including training pari-mutuel employees on those programs.

Our solutions are all web-based, which means you do not have to purchase any special hardware or software. This also means that your company will never need onsite maintenance. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and a web browser, and you're ready to go!

Feel free to contact us for a demonstration and needs analysis, at no cost to you. We'll show you what we have done for other pari-mutuel gaming companies, and recommend a roadmap for success that fits your company's particular needs.

Coolmore America (Ashford)

Ashford

Owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Magnier and their family Coolmore Stud is arguably the world’s biggest and most successful thoroughbred breeding and racing operation. Headquartered in County Tipperary, Ireland Coomore is home to some of the world’s finest stallions and broodmares. Their international satellites include Coolmore America at Ashford Stud which is located in the heart of the Bluegrass Region in Versailles, Kentucky and Coolmore Australia located in New South Wales’ fertile Hunter Valley. Coolmore’s racing arm is located at the world famous Ballydoyle Stables not far from Coolmore Ireland. There the future champions are developed under the watchful eye of Aidan O’Brien who took over as the “Master Of Ballydoyle” upon the retirement of Vincent O’ Brien who was John Magnier’s father in law.

Coolmore was home to the legendary Sadler’s Wells whose influence at Coolmore is still widely felt through his son Galileo who was an Epsom and Irish Derby winner trained by Aidan O’Brien. Galileo is now widely perceived as the world’s most successful sire and has been Champion Sire 8 times in Europe. Gaileo is represented at Coolmore by fellow Epsom Derby winners and exciting young sires Ruler Of Then World and Australia along with Classic winning milers like The Gurkha and Gleneagles.

Coolmore America is proud to be home to Champion Juvenile and Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and “The Iron Horse” Giant’s Causeway, a six time Grade 1 winner, who has been Champion Sire in the United States three times. Exciting young sires at Ashford include Declaration of War and Uncle Mo whose sensational start at stud was headed by 2016 Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist.

Coolmore Australia is home to Champion sires also, including Fastnet Rock and the blisteringly fast juvenile champions Pierro and Vancouver and is the Southern Hemisphere base for many of the Northern Hemisphere based shuttlers including Camelot, Choisir, No Nay Never and 10 time Grade 1 winner So You Think.

Coolmore’s Southern Hemisphere influence also extends to South America where the operation has shuttled over 30 individual stallions in the last ten years. They have sent stallions to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil and they deal with some of the biggest breeders in the region. Coolmore is a big believer in the South American Horse and has supported breeders with both proven and unproven stallions such as Giant’s Causeway, Scat Daddy, Thunder Gulch, Fusaichi Pegasus, Mastercraftsman, Holy Roman Emperor, Verrazano and Shanghai Bobby to name but a few. Scat Daddy has proven to be a revelation in Chile siring 8 individual Group 1 winners in his first two crops in South America. Other Coolmore shuttled South American champions include Honour And Glory, Orpen and Catcher In The Rye.

Fornells

Fornells

Fornells invented the original PVC running rail over 50 years ago to become the number one manufacturer. Fornells Running Rails has since developed numerous innovations and patents offering the widest running rail range for horse racing and training installations in the world:

Reinforced Running Rails – Running Rails mark out the boundary of a racetrack and act as the guide-line for horses and jockeys. For each section of the racetrack, Fornells will suggest the most suitable product to ensure: safety, resistance standard, fixed or moveable, lifecycle, industrial protection.

Crowd-Barrier – the most robust model of Fornell’s fencing for parade ring, public area protection, walk way. Our crowd-barrier can be installed with different heights, on a permanent basis with the relevant access gates, or on a temporary removable basis with easy-to-remove footings.

Hurdles and fences for jump racing – are made up of 3 major components: the Birch that the horses jump over, the jump frames that contain the Birch, and the Safety Wings that act as guide and protection on the sides of the hurdles. Fornells supplies racecourse and schooling requirements in many major jump-racing countries.

Gates & Access Opening – access way to the racetrack or simple open & close sections of rail, Fornells custom makes its gates in its own steel workshop. They are made to measure using highest-grade steel and white powder-coated polyester paint to ensure long-life in the outdoors.

Starting barriers - are crucial to successful horse racing. Together with the finishing line, its operation is scrutinised at every race and by everyone for all the time it takes to get a race started, during the key operations of getting the horses into the stalls, horses and jockeys awaiting the starters orders, the actual start and simultaneous opening of all the doors, and then the removal of the barrier from the track. Starting barriers must perform smoothly and reliably to avoid the nuisance of false-starts.

Our engineers are available to advise new customers, ensure delivery, and maintain satisfaction among long-standing clients.

Fornells has already equipped more than 800 racecourse and equestrian customers with approval of racing and equestrian authorities.

Fornells can advise, design and supply horse racetracks with plastic rail and equestrian fencing to maximise safety and optimise value.

WhipChip

Jockey Club of Turkey _ WhipChip

With the whips currently used in horse races, it has not been possible to measure how many times a horse has been whipped and how strong the hits were. Therefore, the racing officials decisions on whipping of the horses are made according to the number of hits seen on television broadcast.

WHIPCHIP has electronic motion sensors placed inside. The internal microprocessor determines how many times the rider has used the whip and how strong each hit was.

By using electronic technology, WHIPCHIP measures the usage of whip during the race. Then the accurate whip usage data is automatically transferred to the IT system after the race during the weighing of the jockey, in order to assist the stewards decision.

  • During the weighing of the rider before the race, all the information related to the race including the name and the weight of the jockey, number and location of the race and the horse name is transferred into the memory of the whip via official computer. At same time, the whip is matched with the jockey.

When reached the maximum number of authorized hits during the race, the LED light positioned at the handle warns the rider by a signaling red light.

  • The whip contains the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, and can communicate with the cellular phones that have the same technology, by using the necessary software program on the cellular phone. So that all up to date data in the whip’s memory is transferred to the cell phone.

  • Not only the number of hits but the real energy while whipping of the horse which could not be measured until today, will be measured by WHIPCHIP from now on.

Technical Specifications:

Length: 68 cm

Weight: 170 gr

Battery Life: 1 year

Whip mechanical life 1000 hit

Communication Method: NFC

High-shock survivability 1000 g

whipping  speed  measuring  range : 0-30 m/s
