The Indiana CTE Professional Development Conference will be held September 22-23, 2017 at the Marriott East in Indianapolis for all statewide career and technical education professionals and partners.  A pre-conference workshop on September 21, sponsored by the Department of Education, targets recent and new CTE teachers.

The conference is designed for ALL CTE professionals, but is also a joint statewide conference for members of Indiana-ACTE, AAFACS/IN and E/TEI.  Membership in one or more of the three organizations provides conference registration discounts.  The Indiana Department of Education encourages all CTE professionals to attend and provides support for this vital professional development event.

Each year, approximately 500 of Indiana’s leading Career and Technical Education Professionals take this opportunity to network and learn from one another. The 2017 Conference offers valuable development experiences for secondary and post-secondary educators, counselors, administrators, and industry experts. The theme "CTE: Celebrate Today, Own Tomorrow" reflects the state and national initiative that we are all part of the large community of Career and Technical Education Professionals.

Participants will choose from approximately ninety breakout sessions centered on college and career readiness. All sessions have been selected by a professional panel and include content specific pathways, as well as readily transferable topics such as classroom technologies and project based learning. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience breakthrough technologies and the newest instructional materials in the expanded Exhibitor Hall. "Deep Dives" will extend over multiple sessions to allow participants more in-depth exploration of a topic and hands-on opportunities to learn new skills.

You are CTE, and we look forward to seeing you in September!
