2017 Student Success Summit

The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) received a $1.3 million, three-year grant from Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates that will allow Wisconsin to become the 14th state to implement a “Student Success Center.” Over the grant period the work of the Student Success Center will include the following: refine the WTCS data infrastructure and disseminate data to best drive student-focused, data-based decisions; establish a community of practice to broaden and accelerate the use of proven, high-impact student success strategies; better align state and national completion initiatives; and leverage the knowledge and experience available through the Jobs for the Future (JFF) Student Success Center Network.

To support the work of the recent grant award, the WTCS will be holding an inaugural Student Success Summit.  The purpose of the 2017 Student Success Summit is to:

  • Examine the JFF Student Success Center model, including alignment with attainment goals and the WTCS Student Success Center strategy;
  • Analyze another two-year system’s Student Success Center; and
  • Explore how to operationalize WTCS Student Success Center strategy at the College level, including the development of a local student success team.
