Visit the link above for a video recap from 2016!

I hope that you will begin making your plans soon to be a part of the excitement during this year’s Winter Family Physicians Weekend scheduled for November 30 – December 3, 2017 at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.

Program Chair, Dr. Dimitrios “Takie” Hondros and Program Vice-Chair, Dr. Lisa Cassidy-Vu have been hard at work assembling a superb line-up of timely topics with expert speakers along with several other fantastic optional workshops and satellite opportunities.

Explore this website for additional details and information for what is rumored to be the largest (and in our opinion, the best!) national specialty meeting of its kind! Registration is Open!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Accreditation Statement

Accreditation Statement
Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. AAFP Prescribed Credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.

How to Earn CE Credits
CE Credits are earned based on your participation. After every session, workshop, or seminar that you attend, you will complete a Get CME Evaluation Survey via the mobile conference app. For each session evaluated, CE credit is awarded to your registration profile. At the end of the conference, the mobile app will generate a personalized Certificate of Attendance based on the the courses/sessions you attended and evaluated. Each session along with the awarded credit will be listed. The bottom of the certificate will include the total CE hours earned for your participation in the conference.

CE Credit Filing for AAFP Members
If you are a member of the AAFP, the NCAFP will file your CE Credits for you post-conference. Please be certain to include your correct AAFP ID number in the registration process to avoid any accrediting errors.

CE Credits for Non-Members | FNPs, PAs, Pharmacists, Etc.
Please check with your accrediting body in advance to determine how the AAFP's Prescribed Credits / AMA PRA Category 1 credits are counted towards your education requirements. You will also need to self-report your credits earned. The NCAFP only files credits earned with the AAFP.

Please contact Kathryn Atkinson with any questions you may have regarding this information.

Mobile App Only

A paper syllabus will not be available. This program will again feature a free mobile app/conference web link. Attendees are encouraged to follow along with the CME lectures via the app. Please plan accordingly and remember to bring your device or laptop chargers. Complimentary wifi and access to electrical outlets will be provided in the main lecture hall.  Please contact Kathryn Atkinson (919-214-9058) with any questions you may have regarding the app or printed conference materials.

Self-Print Option If you prefer to have a printed paper copy of the General Session lectures, a PDF Link to the lectures will be emailed to you prior to the conference for personal self-printing. Complimentary printed handouts will be provided for the KSA Study Working Group (formerly SAMS) & other various Optional Workshops & Seminars.
