2018 Annual Gathering

Local Host Reception - Buffalo RiverWorks

Embracing its industrial and ethnically diverse heritage, the Party in Buffalo promises a riverside venue among grain silos and within sight of a cereal-making plant (known for sending a “Cheerios” aroma across our city), and featuring unique music with an ethnic angle (think Dyngus Day). Buffalo RiverWorks, the city’s newest premier waterfront, boating, sports, music and entertainment venue along the banks of the Buffalo River, is the party site. On a typical balmy September evening, you can gaze across the river to Canalside and watch kayakers and boaters make their way downstream.

Hocus Polkas Band

The party: A full-course meal with appetizers, a main course highlighting some Buffalo favorites and ethnic delights, and sweet treats to finish. There’ll be a three-hour open bar and a champagne toast, too. For your dancing and listening fun, the Hocus Polkas is a great party band that plays both traditional and very non-traditional polkas. Based on the rich history of Polish-American polka, the band performs a mix of music from polkas you know and love to standards, rock, pop, and hip hop... all to a Polka beat!

Join us waterside for the food, music and action of Buffalo – the City of Good Neighbors!

Registration fee: $50
