Gabriele Grunt Trainer - Mag. Gabriele Grunt - Austria works in the field of education with children and adults for more than 25 years. Born in Vienna/Austria she studied cultural anthropology and worked in international and national projects, workshops and NGOS that deal with power imbalance, racism, enemy images and restorative justice.
As a CNVC Certified Trainer her main focus is on NVC in schools, kindergardens, universities and in intergenerational settings like families. In 2017 and 2018 she was in the European Life Enriching Education Lab’s trainers team. In her work she enjoys exploring different ways of reaching people, learning and working together – focusing not only on individual learning but on how to enable each of us to transform the structures we live in and that do not serve us towards lived partnership, shared leadership and a more satisfying quality of connection.
Gabriele shares NVC in different kinds of organizations in the field of economy, justice, health, in NGOs, governmental organizations and residential communities with individuals and teams of variying sizes. She co-developed NVC online-courses (www.alltagsinspirationen.at) and since 2014 she is a certified TRE-provider (Trauma/Tension Release Exercises). www.echt.info.

Gabriele Grunt Trainer - Irmtraud Kauschat - Germany works as a medical doctor and has given NVC trainings in different countries, including Serbia/Croatia, Kenya and more recently Israel/Palestine and Ukraine. Irmtraud has expertise in reconciliation between warring groups like in former Yugoslavia (in 1996 especially with youth from Serbia and Croatia), in Kenya with different communities that had been affected by the post-election violence in 2007/208, as well as with two tribes from the north that had been at war with each other for about 30 years and most recently with people from Israel/Palestine and Ukraine .
When she heard Marshall talk about his experiences in Israel/Palestine and Northern Ireland she was very enthusiastic about the impact NVC could have on people’s lives and her vision was to contribute to peacebuilding in a similar way.
This vision has come true. Peace is a very important topic for her since her childhood when she saw ruins in Frankfurt after World War 2 and witnessed the broadcasting of the Auschwitz process in her teenage years, when she was confused getting to know that the very same people who killed Jewish children and parents were described as loving parents themselves.
She had organized and been a trainer in the first IIT in Africa in 2013 and a second one in 2017.
She is a founding member and chairperson of her local circle in Darmstadt as well as of the German speaking network: D-A-CH and served as a member of GCC (NVC Global Community Circle) and coordinator of the EAC (English speaking NVC European. African Circle). From January 2012 till October 2013 she served as a member of the CNVC board. She has been announced as assessor in June 2017. She has co-authored two books with NVC exercises.

Catherine serves on the board of directors for the Wabunowin Dawn Society, a multi-cultural organization dedicated to advance the cultural, educational, environmental, and spiritual benefit of local indigenous communities.
Her work with her indigenous roots, elders, and teachers taught her to live interdependently with all life, which she shares with all who are willing to learn. She is a Center for Nonviolent Communication Certified Trainer and the author of “Peaceable Revolution Through Education and the Ongo Book: Everyday Nonviolence”. Her passion is to advance a consciousness of interdependence among all peoples, for generations to come, through cultivating the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual maturity of the 7th generation, which is rising now.
