FAQs
What’s included in the registration fee?
Each convention package registration will receive:
• Welcome bag with goodies
• Breakfast and lunch throughout event
• Leadership Workshops
• Two-night hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency Miami
• Opportunities to meet sisters from all around the nation
• ….and more!
How many sisters are staying per hotel room?
There will be four sisters per double-bed room. This will be strictly enforced. Rooms found to have more than the assigned roommates are subject to additional fees and other consequences.
May I choose my roommates?
Your roommates will be randomly assigned. During registration, you will have the opportunity to name one sister that you would like to room with. A $25.00 administrative fee will be charged for any roommate change requests made after your registration is completed.
Is there a Convention with no lodging option this year?
For the 2018 Convention, only alumnae that are not required to attend convention (ie. leaders or neophyte members) will have the option to not stay at the convention hotel. We highly encourage everyone to stay at the hotel as there will be great networking and bonding opportunities at the hotel.
Once I register for the Convention Package, how will I know who my roommates for the weekend are?
Upon check-in to the hotel, you will learn who your roommates are for the weekend.
What is the check-in and check-out time at the convention hotel?
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 12:00 p.m. (noon). Any departures after 12:00 p.m. (noon) are subject to the full-day charge.
I cannot attend convention until Saturday, do I still have to pay the full price?
Yes. Unfortunately, we cannot offer daily rate options.
I am a new sister. What events and programs will be required?
Attendance to all official convention events will be required of new sisters. Required schedules for new sisters will be available on the website and also on the mobile app as we near 2018 National Convention.
What clothing should I pack for official convention activities?
• Friday – Casual clothing (para, jeans, etc)
• Saturday – Professional business attire
• Sunday – White attire (dress, skirts, slacks)
Once I pay for my convention registration fee, what additional expenses should I plan for?
At a minimum, you should plan to pay for transportation to and from the airport and dinner throughout the weekend. Additionally, there will be a variety of vendors throughout the weekend selling LTA paraphernalia.
I registered for the convention, but I just found out that I can no longer attend. May I transfer my ticket purchase to another sister?
Once you have registered for the convention, there will be a $25 administrative fee assessed for any ticket transfers. Additional fees may apply if the person you are transferring your ticket to falls in a higher fee class. For example, if you paid the new sister rate, but are transferring your ticket to an inactive sister, there will be an additional fee assessed for the difference in registration types. The last day to do a ticket transfer is May 30, 2018.
I registered for the convention, but I just found out that I can no longer attend. May I get a full refund?
No. Refunds will not be issued once you have registered. Your only option is to do a ticket transfer (please refer to question 12 for details).
