Questions & Answers

Question: Is there a discount for bringing/registering multiple attendees?
Answer:
5% discount will automatically apply to the final order total when registering a group of five (5) or more educators from the "same"school/district for the "same" item in a single transaction.  The 5% discount will apply to preconference workshops, one day and two day general conference only.  This is a VOLUME discount and will not apply automatically if ALL criteria are not met. The 5PLUS discount will not apply towards Presenters or PreService Teachers. 

Question: Is there a discounted rate for Early Bird Registration?
Answer: Yes, see the “Fees Tab” to see Early Bird Pricing.  Early Bird Registration closes on December 6, 2017.
Question: Can someone attend the conference in my place?
Answer: Substitutions may be made prior to Friday, February 9 at Noon (12pm CST) at no cost.  Any Substitutions made after Friday, February 9 at 12:00pm CST will be subject to a $90.00 processing fee.  Substitutions may not be made for part of a registration.  For example, if a person can only attend one day, that person must register for a one day conference pass.  Registrations may not be SHARED.
Question: Where can I find the Session Grid and Descriptions?
Answer:

The 2018 METC Conference Session Grids can be found at METCedplus.org.

 All information, including Session Descriptions, can be found on the METC Mobile App.  Download it today from iTunes, Google Play or the Amazon Marketplace!

 A small paper program will be provided that will include a map, important information and a session grid upon Check-in at the conference, however it will not contain the Session Descriptions.  Download the METC App to view the Session Descriptions.

Question: When are Preconference Sessions?
Answer: Preconference Workshops are on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the St. Charles Convention Center and the Embassy Suites.  You can sign up for one half day (either AM or PM) or for two half day sessions (one AM & one PM).
Question: Where do Exhibitors and/or Sponsors register for the METC Conference?
Answer: Registration for Exhibitors and Sponsors is a separate registration.  Please check the METC website for more information.
Question: How do I sign up to be a Volunteer?
Answer:

If you would like to Volunteer, please indicate yes during registration.  You will then be contacted by the end of November (before the early bird deadline - December 6) by METC Staff with information about how to sign up to Volunteer.  Conference Volunteers receive a 25% discount on their registration!



Question: What is the Cancellation Policy?
Answer:
Cancellations received prior to January 29, 2018 are eligible to receive 90% of the original registration fees returned. Cancellations received after January 29, 2018 will not receive any refund.  Cancellations requests must be made in writing to LaDonna Henderson at lhenderson@edplus.org. The 2018 METC Conference will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. No Shows will be billed in full.

Substitutions may be made prior to Friday, February 9 at Noon (12pm CST) at no cost. Any Substitutions made after Friday, February 9 at 12:00pm CST will be subject to a $90.00 processing fee. Substitutions may not be made for half of a registration. For example, if a person can only attend one day, that person must register for a 1 day conference pass. Registrations may not be SHARED.

Question: Can a Purchase Order form be used for Payment?
Answer:

Yes, a Purchase Order can be used for payment for the 2018 METC Conference.  Please send all Purchase Orders to LaDonna Henderson at lhenderson@edplus.org or fax them to 314-692-9762.  Please note, if you do not provide the Purchase Order number at the time of registration, it will not  be included on your invoice.

Question: Where and how much is parking?
Answer:

Parking is located at the St. Charles Convention Center/Embassy Suites St. Charles and is free/complimentary to all registered attendees.



Question: Will food be provided?
Answer:

A light breakfast and boxed lunch is provided for all Registered attendees.  Please indicate during the registration process if you have any dietary restrictions/needs and we will do our best to accommodate for you.


In addition, there are four Specialty Luncheons that you can attend.  Registration for these Luncheons is required.


Question: When will I receive my badge for the Conference?
Answer:

If you have Pre-Registered for the conference, you will receive your conference badge when you arrive at the Convention Center upon Check-in.

Check-in will be open each day of the conference.

 

If you have not registered prior to arriving to the Convention Center, you will be asked to register on site and will then be given a conference badge.



Question: Where can I find Hotel and Travel Information?
Answer:

Visit the METCedplus.org website for more information on Travel and Hotel Reservations for the 2018 METC Conference.  METC will have a room block at the Embassy Suites St. Charles Hotel that is connected to the St. Charles Convention Center.

Answer:

All session information can be found on the METC Mobile App!  Download it today from iTunes, Google Play or Amazon Marketplace.
