MLRC will apply for Conference CLE credit to cover most U.S. state jurisdictions of conference delegates.  Any questions should be addressed to:    

Attendance Record

Every attendee who wants CLE credit must fill out the CLE Attendance form and return it to the conference registration staff or email it to 

You must:

  • fill in your contact and state license information for each state in which you are seeking CLE credit
  • check off the sessions you attended – adding up the minutes attended is preferred but not required.
  • sign the form
  • return onsite or scan and email to

Daily Sign In Sheet

Lawyers seeking credit from: California, Indiana, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Virginia will need to confirm their attendance by signing the Daily Sign In sheet each day of attendance. 

Certificates of Attendance

You will receive a general or state-specific Certificate of Attendance, generally within 30 days of the Conference.  No Certificate of Attendance will be issued without a completed CLE Attendance Record.

MLRC CLE Financial Assistance Policy

The MLRC Media Law Conference is a biennial legal conference that provides continuing legal education credit at a reasonable cost to members. In cases of demonstrated need we offer at least a 50% reduction in the program fee.

  • Preference is given to member lawyers working in the non-profit media law and policy sector.
  • Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and requests are processed in the order they are received.
  • Requests for fee waivers will not be accepted at the conference.

How to Apply for a Fee Waiver or Reduction

To apply send an email to, stating your interest in the Conference and explanation of financial hardship. The factors to be considered will include current employment status, annual income, and whether and how long the attorney has been a member of MLRC.  You will be contacted with a decision; and all requests will remain confidential.
