2018 MQ Quilt Show and Conference

Grand Banquet

Come celebrate and share our 40th Anniversary with your fellow quilters!

The Minnesota Quilters Annual Banquet features a 3-course dinner, door prizes, a slide show of the award-winning quilts, and time to spend with friends, old and new!

Meet our special guests: 2018 Quilter of the Year Mary Chalmers, and our two Scholarship Winners.

Guest speaker: Weeks Ringle, a pioneer of the Modern Quilt Movement, from the Modern Quilt Studio, Oak Park, Illinois, will speak on: "Transforming Traditions: Modernism and Quilts." Early American quilts were born of necessity but have been transformed into a vibrant contemporary art form. Weeks traces this transformation as it parallels changes in art, architecture, design, and society. She'll talk about how her quilts are expressive of the era in which we live.
