Brett Hauser has helped shape electric vehicle markets and pioneer the electric vehicle (EV) industry’s open standards movement. As CEO of Greenlots, a global leader of open standards-based electric vehicle charging and energy management software, he’s led the company through strategic investments and global expansion. Under his leadership, Greenlots has earned the backing of the world’s leading utility coalition, EIP, secured partnerships with global automakers including Electrify America, BMW, Ford, Kia Motors, and deployed EV charging solutions in many major utility-led programs. In his roles as a founding member of the Open Charge Alliance and CEO of Greenlots, Mr. Hauser has been a relentless advocate for open standards, developing and implementing the company’s strategic roadmap, as well as scaling new vehicle to grid solutions and services with leading investor-owned utilities, automakers, and cities.
Mr. Hauser spent more than 20 years in strategic and financial planning, product management and business development roles. Before joining Greenlots, Mr. Hauser served as Chief Operating Officer for EV Connect, where he was responsible for the company’s operational leadership. While at EV Connect, Mr. Hauser was instrumental in securing key infrastructure grants, negotiating and managing relationships with auto manufacturers, electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturers, and software companies in the energy management space.
Most recently at Columbus Nova, a Manhattan-based private equity investment firm, Mr. Hauser was responsible for restructuring various multi-million-dollar corporations in telematics, mobile resource management, telecommunications and natural resources.
Mr. Hauser has also served on numerous boards for companies including Vericom Technologies, sentitO Networks, Virginia Diamond Fields, Clareos, and Alliance of Transportation Electrification. Mr. Hauser earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
President, The Kraft Group
The Kraft Group is a private holding company comprised of companies in the paper and packaging industry, sports and entertainment, real estate, and private equity investing. As President of The Kraft Group, Jonathan Kraft oversees the day to day operations of all the Group's companies while maintaining a focus on driving the growth and diversification of the Group.
In paper and packaging the Group’s holdings include: Rand-Whitney Container, a manufacturer of corrugated containers; International Forest Products (IFP), a global trader of paper commodities; Rand-Whitney Containerboard and New-Indy Containerboard, manufacturers of 100% high performance recycled linerboard. Together these companies convert, produce and distribute over 5 million tons of paper and pulp annually.
In sports and entertainment the Group’s holdings include the New England Patriots, the National Football League’s 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014 & 2016 World Champions; New England Revolution, Major League Soccer’s five-time Eastern Conference Champions; Boston Uprising, a founding member of Overwatch League; Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place, located in Foxborough, Massachusetts and host to over 15 million visitors each year.
The Kraft Group is also involved in a number of real estate developments and holds numerous private equity and early stage venture capital investments.
A graduate of Williams College (1986), Kraft is a Trustee Emeritus and member of the school’s Investment Committee. Additionally, he received his MBA from Harvard Business School (1990) where he currently serves on the Board of Dean’s Advisors. Kraft is also on the Board of Trustees for Belmont Hill School, Dexter Southfield and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he also chairs the Finance & Real Estate Committee. Furthermore, he serves as a member of the Partners Healthcare Finance Committee, MIT Corporation Visiting Committee for the Sloan School of Management and the Advisory Board for the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative.
