Press Passes

In order to increase the volume of the Tribal voice, the reach of Tribal wisdom, and the visibility of American Indian and Alaska Native health concerns and successes, the National Indian Health Board welcomes the presence of media personnel at the National Tribal Health Conference in Oklahoma City in September.  Press passes will be provided to media personnel upon the successful completion of a Press Pass Application.  The application is located below.  In addition to the application, applicants should also provide a copy of their current press credentials and 2 copies of published articles (actual articles must be copied from their print source or a URL provided for online publications).  If an applicant does not have press credentials, a letter from an editor-in-chief detailing employment and job responsibilities will suffice.

All applicants will be notified with two weeks of the status of their application.  The actual press pass can be obtained from the registration counter at the Conference during the hours during which the registration counter is open.  Press pass holders will not have to pay a registration fee.  Press passes are non-transferable, and media personnel that have been found to be sharing their pass with other, will have their pass immediately revoked.  The press pass will provide the holder with access to all regular conference activities (including pre-conference day sessions and institute, plenary sessions, workshop and breakout sessions, opening reception, and culture night).
