Dear P&S Alumni and friends,

We are excited to welcome you back to P&S!

Reunion offers a unique opportunity for alumni to re-connect with classmates, meet our amazing students, celebrate the accomplishments of our P&S Gold Medalists and experience the dynamic changes of your beloved medical school.  You can expect an exciting weekend packed with class dinners, a special luncheon with Dean Lee Goldman, campus tours, student performances and our annual dinner dance at Pier 60!

We had a wonderful year celebrating the 250th anniversary of P&S and its founding as the first medical school in Colonial America to award a Medical Doctorate degree.  Much has changed since 1767, when Dr. Samuel Bard resolved to apply the same high standards of medical study he was exposed to in Edinburgh to a fledgling institution in New York.

Our school continues to evolve and has recently been renamed Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.  Dr. & Mrs. Vagelos have contributed generously to the advancement of P&S through capital projects, class fund drives and most recently by establishing a 1:1 endowment match for our 250th Scholarship Campaign. With the help of our entire alumni community, our students will have the ability to choose specialty above earnings, which will make P&S will be the first medical school to accomplish such an ambitious goal!

With all of this excitement, our P&S Alumni Relations Team is eager to assist in planning your return to Washington Heights and welcoming you back home.  Don't forget to tell us how you are getting ready for reunion #PSREUNION!

Warm regards,
