Pre Conference

The Pre-Conference will take place on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Hawaii Convention Center. Workshops will run tentatively from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and lunch will be provided. A tentative description of the five tracks, presenters, and topics discussed will be posted at a later date.  Attendees can receive continuing education units (CEU's) for participating. 

This year we will be offering four (4) technical tracks and one (1) young professional (YP) track. Below are the titles and brief descriptions for each track with respective schedules for each pre-conference track:

"The ArcGIS Platform: When Your Data Flows, So Does Your Water"

In this workshop, you will learn how the ArcGIS Platform supports organizations by providing a system of record, a system of engagement, and a system of insight.

"Water Operator Pre-Conference Track: Operation and Maintenance of Water Systems"

The emphasis of this workshop include hands-on training that can be applied to the field.

This workshop will provide wastewater operators information to improve their technical understanding of wastewater treatment plant operations.

Attendees will learn technical and critical components of wastewater infrastructure with a focus on pump stations.

Technical Program

The main conference will take place Wednesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 8, 2018 and will feature over 75 technical sessions spread out over multiple concurrent tracks. Speakers include utility staff, consultants, vendors, regulators, and other professionals covering topics about water, wastewater, and stormwater. Topics range from backflow prevention and sewer cleaning to mobile asset management and resilient infrastructure design.
