2018 SickKids Rare Disease Day

On behalf of the Rare Disease Foundation, Can-Gard, SickKids and SickKids Foundation, we invite you all to join us, the evening of Feb 28, 2018 where members of the Genetics & Genome Biology Program, The Department of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics and some very special guests will be united under one roof.

Feb 28 is a very special day for many. The last day of February is recognized, world wide, as Rare Disease Day, and we, at SickKids,  are proud to join the many who are working towards providing faster diagnoses, advanced therapies and ultimately cures for those families affected by rare disease.

This remarkable SickKids event will bring families together with the clinical and research arms of genetics in our institution to further foster and enrich collaborations.  In addition, parents will be speaking about their experiences and impact of rare disease in their lives.

Our evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 4pm on the 2nd floor of the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning (PGCRL). Your hosts for the evening, Drs. Monica Justice and Roberto Mendoza will welcome you in the Robert B Salter Auditorium at appoximately 430pm.

Following the talks, our exceptional trainees will showcase some of the groundbreaking research being conducted in our labs during the poster session. The evening will end with a buffet dinner in the PGCRL Gallery.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
