The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials is forging ahead with a new partnership with an organization aimed at building and preserving a strong transportation workforce across the nation.

The Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council (TC3), an organization that helps train transportation technicians through course development, web training, and information and resource sharing, is partnering with AASHTO to make the workforce development initiative sustainable.

AASHTO has worked closely with and supported TC3 for many years while it operated under the Federal Highway Administration Pooled Fund. The end of the pooled fund in 2013 marked the beginning of TC3 as an official AASHTO program. TC3 is a natural fit as an AASHTO program; both programs share common goals and both see the importance of investing in the education of the transportation workforce.
