VIB Network National Conference Begins

  • 0915-1000 (9:15 - 10am• General Session: Tony Perez (Marine Veteran) VP Product Management, GoDaddy Tony is a proven business leader. He is a former US Marine (2000 - 2005), and former CEO of Sucuri (2011 - 2017), a website security platform that was acquired by GoDaddy in April 2017. He has proven experience taking a security product from startup to a global, multi-national, organization. Come hear Tony as he shares information on what has made him successful in IT; his grit and wit will inspire you.

In this presentation, we’re going to discuss why you’re good at what you do, and understand how you can best apply your strengths to make your business more profitable.

  • 1330-1430 (1:30 - 2:30 pm) • General Session: The Secrets to Working with Corporations, Government Agencies, and Prime Contractors – Panel Discussion, Moderated by VIB Chairman Cole Woodman.
  • 1430-1445 (2:30 - 2:45pm) PM Break
  • 1445-1630 (2:45 - 4:30 pm) • General Session: “Tactical Networking" – Networking with a purpose during this roundtable business interactive discussion with Corporations, Government Agencies, Prime Contractors & Veteran businesses. Give your elevator pitch and create opportunities. (Bring plenty of business cards)
  • 1630-1900 (4:30 - 7 pm) • VIB Networking Welcome Reception, A Salute to Veterans in Entertainment - Mix and mingle with Veterans in the entertainment industry while you enjoy art from various Veteran artists. Live music in a cool outdoor setting is the perfect way to relax and enjoy downtown LA. Reception is in partnership with the Charles J. Evered House (An Artist Residency for Veterans).

  • 1800-2100 (6-9pm) • VIB Network Above & Beyond Awards Banquet Dinner (Location TBD) This evening is all about celebrating the Veteran business community with Marine, Comedian, Business Owner, and Emcee Mel Austin. We will recognize Corporations, Government Agencies, Prime Contractors and Veteran businesses who go Above & Beyond to help Veteran businesses grow and succeed. This is a suit and tie, business attire event.

If you're interested in presenting a seminar during to the Veteran business community at the 2018 VIB Network National Conference please email your bio and seminar topics to Rebecca at director@vibnetwork.org. Presenters will have access to all VIB Network Conference events. Bio and seminar topic must be received by June 1, 2018.



We are proud to be partnering with the Charles J. Evered House during our Welcome Reception "A Salute to Veterans in Entertainment" 


The Charles J. Evered House is an artist residency for veterans and those who work in conflict zones. It was founded by writer and director Charles B.Evered,and is named after his father, who was a veteran of World War II. Situated near Joshua Tree National Park, the CJE House is the newest program division of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center, the region's premier tax-exempt non-profit 5-1(c)(3) arts organization for nearly 60 years.
