You will begin by making a simple still life inspired by actual still life, creating a background, foreground, and simplified vase and flowers against a contrasting foundation fabric. Patten-ted Tips and Tricks for the True Longarm Beginner (Second Offering)  (58118f)
    Adams I and II Room

58118fAfter years of longarm quilting, Sue has developed a few skills that she would like to share with beginners. Everyone will get their own longarm to work with for the whole day, so get ready for a fun-filled day of hands-on learning! This class begins by covering the basics: Sue will teach you about mounting and floating, squaring off a quilt so that it is square every time, and choosing the perfect thread, needles, and batting. Then, you will learn how to master free-motion quilting so that no matter what the project is, you'll be saying, "No problem; I can quilt that!" You'll learn about tension, texture, and balance while getting a full day's experience on a longarm machine, no sharing required!

Registration for this class includes show admission for Wednesday.
