Christian Dameff
Dr. Christian Dameff an Emergency Physician, Clinical Informatics professional, researcher, and Medical Director of Cyber Security at the University of California San Diego. Published clinical works include post cardiac arrest care including therapeutic hypothermia, novel drug targets for acute myocardial infarction patients, ventricular fibrillation waveform analysis, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) quality and optimization, dispatch assisted CPR, teletoxicology, clinical applications of wearables, and electronic health records.

Dr. Dameff is also a hacker and security researcher interested in the intersection of healthcare, patient safety, and cybersecurity. He has spoken at some of the world’s most prominent hacker forums including DEFCON, RSA, Blackhat, Derbycon, BSides, and is one of the cofounders of the CyberMed Summit, a novel multidisciplinary conference with emphasis on medical device and infrastructure cybersecurity. Published cybersecurity topics include hacking 911 systems, HL7 messaging vulnerabilities, and malware.

Paul Keckley
Dr. Keckley is Managing Editor of The Keckley Report, advisor to several national healthcare organizations and an active investor in several early-stage healthcare companies.

In 2009, he served as the facilitator between the White House and major trade associations during deliberations about the Affordable Care Act.

He is a prolific writer, media commentator and frequent facilitator in strategic planning for hospitals, health systems, health insurers and investment banks. His publications include three books, 15 peer reviewed monographs, the weekly Keckley Report and 200 guest columns.

He is an Independent Director of Tivity Health Inc. (TVTY) and Sullivan Cotter, Senior Advisor to Erdman Inc. (Madison WI) and member of the Advisory Boards of the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy (Nashville) and Western Governors University (Salt Lake City).

Previously, he served as Executive Director, Deloitte Center for Health Solutions, Washington DC, Executive Director, Vanderbilt Center for Evidence-based Medicine, CEO, EBM Solutions Inc., CEO, PhyCor Management Corporation (the IPA subsidiary), CEO, InterDent (Dental Practice Management Company, El Segundo, CA) and Managing Director, The Keckley Group.

He holds a B.S. from Lipscomb University, Nashville TN, an M.A. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, Columbus OH and completed a graduate fellowship at Oxford University, UK.

Jami Snyder
Jami Snyder serves as the Director for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), providing comprehensive health care coverage to 1.9 million Arizonans at a cost of $14 billion annually. Prior to her current role, Ms. Snyder served as the Deputy Director of AHCCCS and the Medicaid Director for the state of Texas, a program offering coverage to 4.7 million enrollees at an annual cost of $29 billion. She has over 20 years of public and private sector experience in the health and human services industries. Ms. Snyder's areas of expertise include regulatory oversight, policymaking and leadership development, stemming from her tenure in Texas as well as her prior service at AHCCCS, the Arizona Department of Health Services and the University of Arizona Health Plans, where she functioned as the managed care organization's Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Snyder holds a master's degree in political science from Arizona State University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Doug Stevenson
Doug Stevenson, CSP, is the CEO of Story Theater International, based in Tucson, Arizona. He is the creator of The Story Theater Method and a master storyteller and storytelling in business speaker, trainer and coach.

Doug has taught storytelling for business success to clients as diverse as Coca-Cola, Verizon, Deloitte, Caterpillar, Microsoft, Abbott Labs, US Bank, NBC, Oracle, HCA Healthcare, and Red Bull. His proven storytelling methodology has been polished and perfected by working on real-world challenges with leaders, marketers, fundraisers, engineers, salespeople, and executives.

Doug specializes in the strategic use of storytelling to engage, influence, and sell a product or service. Using story as a strategy, Doug has helped tens of thousands of business professionals and hundreds of companies and associations to identify their unique storytelling proposition (USP).

For over 20 years, Doug was a professional actor in Chicago, Hollywood and Denver. He has acted on stage in everything from Snoopy to Shakespeare to GREASE. In his first movie, he was karate chopped by Chuck Norris, and in his last, he portrayed a “bad guy” on a Perry Mason Movie of the Week.

In 1985, Doug relocated to Colorado Springs and became a Realtor with his own brokerage, Sherlock’s Homes. From first speaking at real estate networking events, he developed a professional speaking career that has now taken him all over the US and to 16 other countries on 4 continents.

Doug is married to Deborah Merriman, (the VP of Everything) and now lives in Tucson, Arizona. He is an avid runner, dog lover and gluten-free pizza lover. His wife calls him sweetie, his students call him coach, and his grandchildren call him Opa.

Jim Hammond
Jim Hammond has worked in the Arizona healthcare industry for 30 years. He has experience with payors and providers of all types, including medical management companies, Medicaid health plans, commercial health plans, physicians, IPA’s, hospitals and integrated delivery systems. Jim currently operates his own consulting firm, Professional Healthcare Solutions. PHS offers consulting services in the fields of managed care contracting, network development, strategic planning and accountable care. He has extensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act.

Jim also operates The Hertel Report, an industry information company that publishes a newsletter, hosts a website and connect the healthcare community through meetings and networking events. Jim is a frequent speaker on healthcare topics, as well as moderating The Hertel Report State-of-the-State meetings, which are attended by leaders of the Arizona healthcare industry.

Teri Pipe
Teri Pipe is Arizona State University's Chief Well-Being Officer and served as the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University (ASU) from 2011-2018. She also is the founding director of ASU's Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience. Before coming to ASU in 2011, Professor Pipe served as director of Nursing Research and Innovation at Mayo Clinic Arizona and was an associate professor of nursing at the Mayo Clinic’s College of Medicine. In 2014 she was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow.

Professor Pipe is an expert on mindfulness which is a skill set to increase the ability to experience being fully present, focused and alive. Mindfulness has important implications for resilience within and beyond the healthcare and higher education sectors. She is an also an expert on nursing leadership with a focus on inter-professionalism, bringing nurses together with physicians and other health professionals, business people, and policy makers, to help redesign and improve health in the U.S. Her research interests include: mindfulness, resilience in professional and clinical populations, health promotion and wellness, positive coping and stress management, oncology, and gerontology. She is a sought after speaker on the topics of mindfulness, workforce resilience and self-compassion. Among her recent honors was her recognition as a Phoenix Business Journal Health Care Hero in 2014.
