Advocacy is more than lobbying or the lobbyist. It’s also more than the issue du jour. Advocacy is a form of education which has the best success when it’s an association-wide commitment.

This ISAE Ramp Up workshop is designed for all department managers to attend and learn together. Our facilitators will illustrate how a teamwork approach to advocacy can impact membership and public support.

Following this session, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the role of association advocacy and of lobbyists.
2. Easily promote and maintain interdepartmental support.
3. List ten best practices for effective advocacy communications.
