Question: Who should attend this event?
Answer: The JAXPORT 2019 Logistics & Intermodal Conference is designed for senior level executives in the logistics, maritime, intermodal, ocean shipping and transportation sectors. Conference topics will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing shippers through Southern ports
Question: How much does the Conference cost?
Answer: Full Conference Registration is $490 and includes the Opening Conference Reception on April 29th; the full-day conference on April 30th, including breakfast and lunch; and the Conference Dinner the same evening. Opening Conference Reception Tickets are $40 and Conference Dinner Tickets are $90 each. The Golf Tournament is $197 per person. Question: Is this a good Conference for a very small business not already involved in the logistics/intermodal industries or for a company trying to begin servicing these industries?
Answer: While the Conference is open to anyone, the event is designed for senior level executives from established companies within the logistics and intermodal industries.

JAXPORT has a number of programs available or can provide guidance for small businesses not already engaged in the maritime industry, or for those looking to begin servicing local port customers but are not currently doing so. Question: Is this Conference primarily about Jacksonville's port?
Answer: While JAXPORT's CEO will provide a brief update on major developments at our local port, the broader event is intended to discuss issues affecting the logistics and intermodal industries around the nation. Some of these issues have direct bearing on Jacksonville's port, while others do not. Conference registrants will come from more than two dozen U.S. states, and the discussions will be structured to review challenges and opportunities facing industry leaders from all over the country, not only Jacksonville.
Question: How do I get to the Conference hotel?
Answer: The Conference hotel is at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL:

Question: Do I need to book my own hotel room, or does my Conference registration include my guest room?
Answer: Conference registration does NOT include a hotel guest room, so you will need to book a hotel room if you need one. To book your room, click here to visit the "Hotel and Travel" tab on and follow the instructions for booking a hotel guest room.
Question: Who do I contact about sponsorship opportunities for the Conference?

Question: If I register but haven't paid yet, is my Conference seat still guaranteed?
Answer: No. Your registration is only guaranteed after you pay. Seats will not be held until payment is received.
Question: What forms of payment do you accept?
Answer: You may pay for Conference registration, the Golf Tournament and/or extra Conference Dinner tickets by credit card online or by personal or business check. Question: If I'm paying by check, where do I send the check?

Question: What is the Conference refund policy?
Answer: All requests for cancellation must be made in writing and sent to lforeman@cmc-associates.com. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for all registration cancellations made until April 12, 2019. Cancellation of additional Opening Conference Reception tickets, Conference Dinner tickets, Guest/Spouse Excursion and Golf Tournament will be fully refunded until April 12, 2019. After April 12, 2019 no refunds will be issued.
Question: What is appropriate dress for this Conference?
Answer: Dress is business casual for all events.
Question: What will the weather be like in April?
Answer: The weather in April is usually beautiful throughout Northeast Florida. Expect daytime temperatures between the mid 80s to low 70s. At night, the weather dips anywhere between high 60s to low 50s. Rain is always possible, but showers are usually brief. It's always wise to bring a comfortable sweater, windbreaker or other layer for each day.
Question: Is the Conference hotel a good place to bring my spouse?
Answer: Yes, absolutely! The Conference hotel was chosen in part because of its amenities for registrants and your guests. To learn more about the hotel and surrounding area, click here.
Question: Is there a tour of Jacksonville's port as part of this event?
Answer: Yes, there is a port tour. It is intended for out-of-town Conference registrants only. The tour is free, but RSVP is required by April 13. Board a shuttle bus at the entrance to the hotel at 1:00 p.m. for a bus ride and windshield tour of a JAXPORT cargo terminal. Return to hotel approximately 4:30 p.m. Security requires every participant to bring a government issue ID (e.g. driver license or passport). To sign up for the tour, please register for the Conference and add the Port Tour option. There is no charge.
Question: May I bring my spouse or special guest to the Opening Conference Reception and/or Conference Dinner?
Answer: Yes, your spouse or special guest is most welcome to attend our Opening Conference Reception and Conference Dinner. While your dinner ticket is included in your conference registration, be sure to purchase a separate ticket for your guest.
Question: May I play in the Golf Tournament even if I am not attending the conference?
Answer: Yes, you may play in the Golf Tournament even if you do not register for the Conference. The cost is $197, which covers your green fee, golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. If you need rental clubs, the cost is $85 payable directly to the golf course on the day of the tournament. Question: Is golf included in the $490 Conference registration fee?
Answer: No, golf is not included in your $490 Conference registration fee. The Golf Tournament is an additional $197 per person.
Question: May I wait to register for this event?
Answer: We strongly recommend you not wait to register for this event. JAXPORT is limiting registration to 350 people so registrants can enjoy an intimate affair with good networking. We will not add seats. We have sold out this Conference each time it has been held -- and many people who planned to register missed out. Our intent is to sell out this Conference. If you wait too long, we'll be sorry to miss you!
Question: Is this Conference held every year?
Answer: To keep the event fresh, JAXPORT holds its Conference once every two years.
Question: How do I get my receipt?
Answer: Once you complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your order and payment details. It will also include instructions on how to log back in and modify your registration and make a payment. If you are registering for someone else and would like to also receive the confirmation email, make sure to add your email address as the "CC Address" in the registration process.
