Kirk Hawkins is a General Assignment Reporter, Fill-In Anchor and Fill-In Weather Anchor at KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles.
Hawkins has worked at other stations in Los Angeles, Charlotte, Orlando, Spokane and Santa Barbara. He also worked as a freelance correspondent for ABC News and NBC News.
He has two Edward R. Murrow Awards and an Emmy nomination. Hawkins was honored by the Los Angeles Press Club for his breaking news coverage of the Occupy L.A. movement.
Hawkins played himself in Amazon’s Alexa Super Bowl Commercial, the television shows “Scandal” and “American Horror Story: Roanoke,” the film "Surrogates", and the Lifetime original movie "Blue-Eyed Butcher.”
Hawkins is also a real estate agent and founding territory owner for Purplebricks Realty, Incorporated and the West Coast media training partner for the Predictive Media Network based in Austin, Texas.
Hawkins earned Bachelor's degrees in Communication and Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
Hawkins is a native of Agoura Hills.
