National Tribal Diabetes Summit/World Cafe

Please join the National Indian Health Board on Thursday, September 19, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm, for the National Tribal Diabetes Summit/World Cafe !*


This Summit is open to Tribal and Urban Indian participants ONLY.


The Summit will address pressing policy issues related to the prevention and treatment of diabetes in Tribal communities. Discussion items will include the future of the SDPI, one of the most effective public health programs ever implemented in Indian Country. The Summit will provide information for how a potential SDPI conversion to self-governance would impact Indian Country, including Direct Service Tribes and Urban Indian health programs. Additionally, the Summit will address issues related to data tracking and reporting, as well as other related issues.
