This conference provides an interactive and informative forum to learn effective investigative tools, strategies and procedures for regulatory proceedings. This meeting is for NCSBN Members only. NCSBN members are U.S. Members, Associate Members and Exam User Members.​
 
OBJECTIVES
1. Articulate the benefits and risks of medications to treat substance use disorders in a regulatory context.
2. Identify and analyze the different types of automated medication dispensing system reports.
3. Consider the doctrine of deference in administrative proceedings.
4. Apply the lessons learned from recent appellate regulatory cases.
5. Describe processes for achieving zero tolerance in sexual abuse complaints. 
6. Identify best practices in disciplinary cases that involve criminal charges.
7. Explain the nuances of case investigation involving a Compact state.
8. Consider various methods of determining disciplinary sanction guidelines.

REGISTRATION 
This meeting is for NCSBN Members only. NCSBN members are U.S. Members, Associate Members and Exam User Members.

The registration fee for NCSBN member is $250 per person.

The registration fee includes all sessions, continental breakfasts, beverage breaks, lunches, welcome reception and meeting materials.

The deadline to register is Monday, May 27, 2019 and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Online registration will stop once capacity is reached; a wait list will then be started. The capacity for the conference is 140 people. 

PAYMENT
Registration may be paid by credit card or check. If paying for multiple registrations by check or purchase order, submit an online registration for each attendee. Payment is due May 27, 2019. If payment is not received by the deadline, your registration will automatically be canceled. Make your check payable to NCSBN and write 2019 DCM Conference on it.

CANCELLATIONS 
Registration cancellations must be received by Monday, May 27, 2019. No refunds will be provided after this date. Attendees must contact NCSBN Meetings at 312.525.3639 or by email to cancel. Attendees are responsible for canceling all flight and hotel arrangements. Failure to cancel a hotel reservation 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival may result in being charged one-night’s stay.

NCSBN plans to take photographs and/or capture video at the 2019 NCSBN Discipline Case Management Conference and reproduce it for use in NCSBN educational, news, marketing or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including but not limited to the NCSBN website. By attending and/or participating in the 2019 NCSBN Discipline Case Management Conference, you grant NCSBN the right to use your image, audio and/or video for such purposes. All media taken at the event become the property of NCSBN and may be displayed, distributed or used by NCSBN for any of the above-described purposes.

June temperatures in Memphis range from 69-88 degrees fahrenheit. Business casusal attire is appropriate for all meeting functions. Meeting room temperatures fluctuate; please dress in layers to ensure your comfort.

MEETING CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of a cancellation of the program by NCSBN, you will receive a refund of your registration fee. NCSBN is not responsible for any other costs, expenses or damages incurred by a program registrant as a result of any cancellation of the program, including without limitation any nonrefundable airfare or lodging deposits.
