Shaped by the Yellowstone River and sheltered by the rims, Billings is the cradle of progressive, regional commerce that provides state of the art healthcare, transportation, diverse educational opportunities, cuisine and arts and culture.

We are very excited to hold the 2019 Statewide Montana Housing Partnership & Mountain Plains NAHRO Conference in the beautiful city of Billings.

Billings was nicknamed the "Magic City" because of its rapid growth from its founding as a railroad town in March 1882. The city is named for Frederick H. Billings, a former president of the Northern Pacific Railroad

Each year, the statewide housing partnership supports a local cause chosen by the host city partner(s).  This year, the Housing Authority of Billings has chosen a program for our fundraiser that hopes to make homelessness a rare, brief and nonrecurring event.

Please bring a Silent Auction item or a basket, if you, or your organization, wish to join our Conference fundraising project for the Yellowstone County Continuum of Care (CoC).

We have been supremely successful with our efforts in past years. We have noticed that "homemade or handcrafted items" do well. Themed baskets have proven themselves
to be popular with the bidders, as well.

What do you need for the auction?

You can donate a basket full of items, ready for bids.

Or, you can donate items that can be grouped with other items to create a basket full of items (we will take care of the combining for you).

Or, you can donate cash and Billings Partners will purchase items to place in the auction for bids.

Can I participate if I am not able to attend the conference?

Yes, absolutely.  We really are one, big happy family and this auction is a great opportunity for everyone to be involved.

You can:

  • Donate a silent auction item or cash

  • Bid on and pay for the silent auction items online this year!

Who do I contact if I have questions?

an email to Patti Webster at the Housing Authority of Billings.

If I have an item or a donation, where do I send it?

Housing Authority of Billings
ATTN: Patti Webster - Silent Auction

Billings, MT  59101

The proceeds from the Silent Auction will go to the Yellowstone County Continuum of Care (CoC).

The Yellowstone County CoC is an ACTION-ORIENTED group of leaders changing the way we address homelessness:

  • from isolated and competitive

  • to coordinated and effective.

The funds raised from the silent auction will support the various activities of the CoC in the following ways:

  • Moving the dial to change homelessness to rare, brief and nonrecurring

  • Building a Data Dashboard so that our community has ongoing access to quality, real-time data for decision making

  • Create a Community Diversion Fund

  • Continue to strengthen and improve Coordinated Entry in our community
