About the Certificate Program
Today’s institutional GME leaders carry a multitude of evolving roles and responsibilities. You are challenged with significant and increasing responsibilities that attend to the educational, fiscal, and administrative health of your institution’s GME enterprise; its compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations; and the support and development of your residency program directors and the well-being of residents. Based on the AAMC Group on Resident Affairs’ Institutional GME Leadership Competencies, the GME Leadership Development Certificate Program is designed to help you build the essential leadership competencies that are vital to effectively managing, directing and leading your educational offices, staff, faculty, and sponsoring institutions. You will discover strategies and solutions that will allow you to successfully navigate complex challenges, facilitate change initiatives, and apply decision making strategies to influence change within your organization.
