Gonzaga invites faculty and students to participate in the American College Dance Association's Northwest Conference, March 11th - 14th, in Spokane, Washington.  Our conference theme is DANCE AS SERVICE and will be an exciting celebration of dance in higher education. The conference schedule will include a wide variety of master classes, scholarly research presentations, opportunities for student and faculty exchanges in and out of the studio, adjudication and informal concerts, feedback sessions, and a Gala Concert.  We are very proud to host the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) that will be performing in our opening concert!  MMDG is the founding organization of Dance for Parkinson's Pedagogy tying to our Dance as Service Theme, and the Artistic Director is from Washington!

With our theme, we want to look at all the ways dance can serve:  ideas, stories, themes, other fields, and the greater good. The Gonzaga Dance program, in keeping with our university mission, offers a number of ‘dance as service’ programs. We hope our theme, Dance as Service, sparks new thoughts and discussions about what is possible with this interdisciplinary way of thinking about dance.

Please take a minute to look at our website as well, which can be found here.

We encourage you to look through all pages on this website. Details on conference opportunities, including performances, guest artists and more can be found on the pages under CONCERTS+ on this website.  ACDA policy and informational documents, including "ACDA Regional Conference Policies For Participants," can be found on the ACDA website > FOR CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS: Documents & Downloads.

Conference attendance is open to ACDA members and non-members, although only members may register during the member priority period and only institutional members may present work in adjudication concerts. Additionally, members pay a discounted registration fee. If you or your institution has not yet joined ACDA as an Individual or Institutional Member, we urge you to do so to receive the benefits of membership and to help further the important work we do for college and university dance programs. Visit ACDA's membership page for more information.

While we would like to accommodate all who wish to attend our conference, space is limited and registration fills quickly. Please note details about limits and timetables in the REGISTRATION pages on this website. You can track available spaces at the bottom of this page.

All of us at Gonzaga look forward to seeing you at the conference.
